Lee-Anne Williams

Lee-Anne Williams, of the Bunuba and Wangkatjunka language groups, grew up around creativity – her two grandmothers and both parents are all artists. She began her career painting boab nuts at Marnin Studio and then moved onto screen and lino printing on textiles before being a founding member of the 2017 Design Within Country fashion project. Lee-Anne aspires to running her own fashion business in order to support her community.

Water Levels in ‘Seafoam’ on our Indoor Weave fabric.

Lee-Anne’s design for our Fitzroy Crossing Collection is called Water Levels. Water Levels began life as a woodblock print, and features line work that references the marks that remain on the rocks of the Fitzroy River, after flood water levels rise and fall.
