Fabrics

UV exposure degrades all fabrics and will cause inks to fade over time. Fabrics should therefore be kept out of direct sunlight wherever possible.

General Care:
Brush or vacuum fabric regularly to remove dust and dirt
Do not use bleach unless specified below
Do not spot clean

Cleaning:

Indoor Weave: Professional hot water extraction (steam clean) or dry clean.
NOTE: this fabric is treated with antimicrobial, antibacterial and water repellent properties. Excessive cleaning will compromise these surface treatments, so this fabric should be cleaned sparingly.

Velvet: Professional hot water extraction (steam clean) or dry clean.

High Performance / Outdoor: Machine washable up to 30°C using mild laundry soap or non-detergent based product. Avoid using detergents as they can, over time, strip away the water and stain-resistant finish.

This fabric can be washed with sodium hypochlorite (household chlorine bleach with a content of less than 5% sodium hypochlorite). This treatment is effective for removing stains such as coffee, wine, beer, juice, etc. Please follow instructions below:

  • Ratio of bleach to water should always remain 1 cup of bleach to 3.7L of water

  • If hand washing, use 1 cup of bleach in 3.7L of water as a pre-wash before proceeding with normal washing using a mild laundry soap. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove the soap completely. Allow the fabric to dry in the shade

  • Do not use non-chlorine bleach as it will damage the fabric

  • Water temperature should not exceed 30°C

  • Avoid sewing threads and trims, unless you have confirmed they are bleach resistant.

This fabric has excellent UV tolerance and is suitable for areas that are exposed to strong UV light such as window seats and outdoor upholstery. High Performance / Outdoor also has an innovative Ecoelite Teflon finish that forms a barrier around each fibre, providing superior protection from salt and chlorinated water, mould, stains and UV. Fabrics should nevertheless be kept out of the elements wherever possible, and brought inside or at least covered when not in use. Ongoing exposure to moisture can promote the growth of mould and mildew.

Commercial Sheer: Professional hot water extraction (steam clean) or dry clean.

Blockout: Professional hot water extraction (steam clean) or dry clean.
